NWOERC: MVG Assists Leadership Toledo Banquet
On Wednesday, May 2nd, 2007
Mayor Finkbeiner hosted the inaugural “Leadership Toledo” banquet at the Erie
Street Market. Nearly 350 people were expected to attend this event honoring
those individuals who have dedicated their lives or business leadership for the
betterment of Toledo and NW Ohio.
The Maumee Valley Growers were well represented as a result of Walt Krueger of Lakewood Greenhouse by stepping forward at the last minute to provide a variety of plants for the event. As you can imagine, this was an especially difficult task since they are in the busiest of seasons and Mother’s day is coming up this weekend. The Mayor’s staff was extremely impressed and grateful with this last minute “turnaround” and how the flowers added so much to the ambience of the room.
Again, many thanks to Walt for assisting the City of Toledo and helping the Maumee Valley Grower’s continue its branding and buy local efforts within our community.
