ICPSR Social Science Data
Notice to UT ICPSR users: read about the ICPSR MyData service here.
The University of Toledo, through the Urban Affairs Center, is a member of the Consortium for Political and Social Research, or ICPSR. The considerable social science data holdings of ICPSR are available to UT faculty, staff, and students directly from the ICPSR web site using ICPSR Direct. This service allows users at ICPSR member institutions to download datasets and their associated documentation (codebooks, data input statements, etc.) directly to their desktop computers.

You must be using a workstation on UT's campus, or must be connected to the Internet using UT's modems, to download datasets using ICPSR Direct. You can alternatively log into the ICPSR Direct web site at least once at the start of a semester from a campus computer and your ICPSR Direct account will be flagged for off-campus use during the next six months.
ICPSR datasets and associated files can be downloaded in either compressed or uncompressed formats, though normally the compressed formats are almost always preferrable for disk space and download time considerations.
