“Discover Downtown Toledo” Tour Guide

The Discover Downtown Toledo Tour Guidebook provides a locator map, photographs, along with architectural and historic descriptions of 57 of Downtown Toledo’s most historically significant buildings and sites. The Guidebooks also features historic photographs and descriptions of 14 key buildings forever lost to the wrecking ball.

The Guidebook was designed for both self-guided tours and for use by the Discover Downtown Toledo Tour Program. The Discover Downtown Toledo Tour Program which is jointly administered by The Urban Affairs Center and The Toledo Lucas County Public Library is a group of volunteers who are trained in Toledo history and architecture. The free, summertime tours are conducted weekly at lunchtime on Thursdays. The tours begin at various locations throughout Downtown. (Tour brochures with dates and meeting locations are available at the Toledo Lucas County Public Library or from the UAC web site online calendar).

The Discover Downtown Toledo Tour Guidebooks, which are free to anyone taking a Discover Downtown Toledo Tours, are available for purchase for $5.00 at The Urban Affairs Center, The Toledo Lucas County Public Library, Thackeray’s books, and other local bookstores.
